ENVELOP A BUILDING IN A SINGLE SKIN. FORM A SEAMLESS TRANSITION FROM WALL TO ROOF WITH THIS NEW CLAY SHINGLE CLADDING.
These beautiful handmade clay shingles from Danish brickmaker Petersen glide seamlessly over facades, roofs and around corners. They add a timeless yet distinctively contemporary look while maintaining the advantages of clay products.
Closely related to - and working well with - traditional bricks, the large format Petersen Cover clay shingles use different combinations of English and German clay, and are fired at very high temperatures. The shingles come in 14 standard colours, from warm reds to beautiful shades of brown and grey. Their unique production process ensures no two shingles are exactly the same, while an irregular relief creates a lively and shimmering surface effect in sunlight.
The robust shingles have a long lifespan, are completely maintenance-free and can be recycled. They come in two sizes, 528 x 170 x 37mm and the slightly wider 528 x 240 x 37mm. Installation is a low tech, dry process, and reminiscent of pantiles which have been used for centuries. Faster and less expensive to install than traditional bricks, there are no mortar joints or expansion joints. The shingles are fixed to appropriate underlaying structures advised by European Building Materials.
